Mac Sushi Flower aka giving me life right now.
<--so I gathered some of my mac lipsticks for a family portrait of sorts last night(I don't like to do normal things, like sleep, after I get out of work, it appears). This is a good-sized chunk of my MAC-specific lipstick collection, save for some in a box in my closet, some that i made into lip palettes(YES I DID! Back to MAC baby!), and a few that I didnt notice on my bed. It was late.
For your viewing pleasure: My loves. The flash wasn't the best idea, as some look sort of creepily whitish, but whatever. Word to my love Candy Yum Yum in the back, Moxie in the front, and MAC Red looking a mess because I used that to make a Joker costume a few years ago. You are all loved...and I am all weird.
Amanda has been on a juicing kick lately, and I mean juicing foods, not cortisone or something, and I've really enjoyed being served fresh carrot juice on the daily. We've gone to this juicery-is that a word? now it is-in town that a friend of my parents just bought, but I think it's slightly over-priced, even though they discount us pretty nicely. She substitutes them for meals but I'm not quite at that place yet, myself. It's done a good job of distracting me from coffee, though...which I cant wait to start drinking again with sweet reckless abandon in 5 days(!!!). Lent, you've served me well, but I am OVER you. We made burrito bowls a la Chipotle the other night and they actually came out fantastic, albeit I "helped" by washing dishes and making a salad, since I'm a really bad cook and I don't like to touch meat. Mine was vegan and wonderful, though!
"Giving me life right now" is a phrase a co-worker uses to explain anything she's obsessed with at the moment and I love it. To honour this love, I'm going to make a little list of things and links to things that are giving ME life right now:
A. Nordstrom making Pink Pigeon a permanent product at their MAC counters! The angels sang!...or that was just me. :)
B. Getting ready to go here for our two year anniversary in a few weeks. Were both broke and in school so we decided to stay kind of local but still go out of the box. I have a place in my heart for micro-breweries.
C. The Mets this season, of course. OF COURSE.
D. Hannibal this season, too. I love the Harris books about Dr Lecter and Will Graham and these are WONDERFULLY acted--and the cinematography is incredible. Before they ended, I was obsessed with Walking Dead and Shameless, too. I'd probably sleep with Mickey Milkovich in real life if we weren't both...you know. #Lesbihonest
E. Some people from work and our partners, if applicable, are doing a downtown Pizza 5K in a few months for shits and giggles. I'm pumped.
F. Aforementioned Easter in a few days, drinking coffee again, and no work on a Sunday! Woo hoo!
xoxo
