MAC eye shadow(!!!)in jealousy wakes aka survey aka never be your woman.

<---it's true, i'm not titling with a lip product...i *finally* got my order of jealousy wakes eye shadow from MAC blogger's obsession collection and i'm in love. literally, it's love. shimmery, sort of frosty(on me) emerald green that reflects all kinds of teal and aqua and blue-greens...i was sure that it would be hard to flatter someone with aqua-blue eyes like mine but it actually made them stand out. plus--this is a little weird--the color glimmers really pretty in the pan, i sort of like to just look at it. christine at temptalia.com did a great job. i was listening to "never be your woman" because it was on my pandora--i absolutely love that song! it kept me occupied through the gigantic beauty survey i just did... because i was inspired by a week of makeup obsessing. this isn't necessarily a beauty blog, but i've been reading a lot of really excellent and innovative blogs lately. there are so many inspirational bloggers that i'm just recently noticing. but on to the survey...

What is your favorite mascara?
benefit badgal lash black...feels good, doesn't mess with my contacts, minimal to no animal testing.
What is you favorite eye primer/base?
when i bother using any, i use urban decay original-color potion.
What are your 5 favorite eyeshadows?
LOL jealousy wakes! but really, i always use MAC stars n' rockets, trax(first MAC love!), and carbon. i also love urban decay smog and asphyxia was my very first high-end makeup purchase when i was 14. i remember shattered being incredibly bright blue-green to me then, too.
What color eyeshadow looks best on you?
if you apply it right, anything can look okay--but i have a personal preference for violet-based shades. they complement aquaish eyes really well.
What color eyeshadow looks bad on you?
red!
Do you define your brows?
yeah. i colour my hair black, but my brows, hair and lashes are all naturally reddish-brown.
What are your favorite liquid, gel, & pencil eyeliners?
i only use pencil on myself, and i *ADORE* mac smolder.
Do you curl your lashes before applying mascara?
no, but if i could find my old lash curler from high-school i would.
What drugstore eyeshadows do you find the best?
i had an almay kit a few years ago that i liked a lot, it was the set coordinated for blue eyes and it was really pretty.
Do you wear false lashes?
only on halloween. my lashes are thankfully pretty lush on their own(DRINK WATER! TAKE A MULTI-VITAMIN! EAT WHATEVER GREENS YOUR BODY DIGESTS BEST! it works well for everything!)

What is the lip color you wear the most?
nars sex machine or MAC bombshell. sometimes both together.
What lip color do you wear on special occasions?
MAC russian red or girl about town, or nars hot-wired. i love the way they make my teeth brighter than ever!
What is your favorite lip balm?
burt's bees original.
What is your favorite lipstick?
MAC bombshell.
What is your favorite lipgloss?
Nars orgasm.
Do you prefer lipgloss to have a flavor or no?
no, i'd just lick it off...that's what she said. the sweet talk glosses from VS are so tasty and i never can make a tube last.
Do you like matte finish or shimmer finish more?
neither...my favorite is a more satin finish.

nah, i usually line with the actual lip color im using first.
What lip colors look best on you?
cooler-based.

i do...nars deep throat(first nars purchase!)and their st. bart multiple.
Do you wear face primer?
nope.
Do you wear highlighter?
i use MAC paint pot in bare study when i bother to highlight.
What is your favorite liquid foundation?
neutrogena healthy skin...i dont really use base or concealer or anything like that(i got really lucky, genetically, in the skin department and i dont like to chance changing that by using a lot of base and cover up)so i use it for circles or spots. if i apply it right, a bottle will last about a year for me.
What is your favorite concealer?
see above.
Do you wear powder to set your liquid foundation or concealer?
see above...i have blotting sheets for shine, though. i get shiny by the end of the day.
Are you warm-toned or cool toned?
cool. not sure how common that is for a girl with naturally reddish hair, but it's more burgundy-toned than orange-toned.
Do you wash your face daily?
yes!
Do you exfoliate when needed?
...no. i probably should.
What is your favorite moisturizer?
i use jergens gradual tanning lotion all over, face included(I KNOW...my skin benefits from it though).
Do you prefer shimmer finish or matte finish?
matte for skin, shimmer for color.

like for everyday? eye pencil, mirrored nars blush compact, a small dome brush, whatever lip shade i wear that day, and a clean q-tip wrapped in a blotting paper.

isabella blow, that dark-haired girl from gossip girl[edit: sorry. her name's jessica szohr]who has my coloring, or my friend megan. all are beautiful and not scared to take risks.

the synthetic essence of beauty ones from cvs. no lie, i love them.

urban decay black palette or NARS everlasting love palette. the UD colors are SO fun, but the NARS one is incredibly flattering on various skintones and insanely multi-purpose. i went through two!

MAC, of course. <3

MAC bombshell. i could use it on my cheeks and as a brow highlighter in a pinch.

strong eye/lush lip.
When did you start using makeup?
8th grade. i went natural a while in high school, then started using eyeliner junior year everyday and have used it *EVERY* day for the past ten years.
Your everyday makeup routine?
jergens tanning body lotion the night before(yes, I KNOW!), then the next day: spot treat with neutrogena liquid, nars st. bart/deep throat wherever i want a little glow, shadow/liner/mascara, lips.
What is your favorite makeup remover?
...clean and clear face wash. I KNOW, but it works for me.
How often do you wear makeup?
every time i leave the house...or get bored...or get inspired...basically when im not asleep or puking.
