<--a really dark red that makes my teeth look bright as hell, and that I might've cried over when it originally came out with that Marilyn Monroe collection in 2012. My sister and her fiance got me the Antonio Lopez 3 Reds compact as part of my birthday gift and even though its a bit tiny, I absolutely love it.

So it was my birthday this month! And Valentine's Day, followed up by a loss in my love's family, THEN my birthday, all in a row over two weeks. The family member was incredibly young(out of respect to my sweetheart's family, I dont want to share too much, but the relative had a terminal illness at 36...honestly devastating). I didn't know him well, but when I did see him, he was nothing but warm, courteous, welcoming, and charismatic. I was moved to be someone the family felt so comfortable relying on and I am grateful for their love and trust.
In happier news, I celebrated a milestone birthday this year! I'm telling people I'm sweet 16, but I'm...a couple years older than that. I'm still young as hell, thank God, and that's all I care about. We had originally wanted to go on a beer tour down in Philly, but with the burial being the day before my birthday, and everyone being exhausted, we all decided to save it for spring and had an impromptu family dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings--judge me, that place is genius. My parents got me some beautiful Tiffany jewelry, and my love got me all of LOST on DVD(Nerd, I know), and my sister and her fiance got me "makeup and a blender, since that was what [I] told them I wanted." I don't remember asking for a blender-I'm not getting married!-but its a nice blender and I've already used it. Both families convened for cake at my parents' afterward, where Amanda's family gave me A M.A.C. gift card and a few other lovely gifts. I was glad that they could all make it to a happy even and feel some joy and relaxation after such a rough couple weeks.
also...it was 50 degrees in Union all of my birthday weekend. Best ever!
work is fine, getting ready to graduate is fine, and I'm so glad this winter is almost over in a few weeks. I need some sunshine!
