so i absolutely loved washington DC. the colonial style homes are beautiful and i'd honestly move there in a minute if i could. my sweetheart and i ironically found a shake shack steps away from out hotel and we went back...3 times. the food was that good. we were shocked to find one so close after eating there for the first time in queens at our mets game two weeks ago. sidebar: citifield is gorgeous and i love it. its no Shea, but its still beautiful. my cousin's wedding was meaningful and lovely, and i liked introducing my love to my family(other than my crazy parents and sister, of course). also we made friends outside of the immediate area:
school ended somewhere in there, too. I got all A's and B's, and i was kind of shocked that my only B was in a drawing class...it was a hard class and i know i did my best, and a B isn't a bad grade at all, but i was still a bit depressed at first. i know i'm a talented artist regardless, though, so i'm over it by now.>
its memorial day weekend, woo hoo! too bad it's been really chilly and rainy for the past few days. i was scared it'd snow outside(seriously, i was mildly concerned), but luckily it hasn't. instead the cicadas have arrived and yes, they look like huge, red-eyed bees and i *HATE* them. so gross! >
more soon. i got a raise at work last week and now i'm waiting to hear if i got a summer promotion, as well. fingers crossed!>
